Death Sentence (Ölüm Fermanı) (translated)

Death Sentence is a 1970 Turkish-Iranian co-production in the western and adventure vein. Directed by Kemal Kan, it was shot alongside a Persian-language version, Se Delavar, helmed by Mohammad Motevaselani; the Turkish cut plays as a western while the Iranian cut follows a more comedic story built around different characters. The screenplay is by Melih Gülgen, and the film was produced by Topkapı Film.

The story follows Bill, a cowboy who rides into town determined to avenge his murdered father. Murat Soydan stars as Bill, with Cihangir Gaffari, Figen Han, Gül Çekiç and Zeki Tüney in supporting roles, joined by Iranian performers Mansour Sepehrnia and Garshasb Raoufi.
