Now Where Did the 7th Company Get To? is a 1973 French-Italian war comedy directed by Robert Lamoureux, who also wrote the screenplay and appears among the cast. Set during the Battle of France in May 1940, the story follows the 7th signals company, hidden in a forest, which is captured by the advancing Germans. Only three soldiers who were away on patrol escape the enemy's net: Pithiviers, Tassin and Staff Sergeant Chaudard. Cut off behind enemy lines, the trio tries to make its way back to the French side, stumbling through a string of comic misadventures. The Gaumont production also stars Pierre Mondy, Jean Lefebvre and Aldo Maccione. Its popularity led to a sequel, The Seventh Company Has Been Found, released in 1975.
