Mind the Gap

Mind the Gap (Swedish original title Se upp för dårarna) is a 2007 Swedish film and the directorial debut of Helena Bergström. Korhan Abay is among the cast. The film tells the story of young Yasmin Demiroglu, whose family emigrated from Turkey to Stockholm; her father, a respected heart surgeon back in Turkey, now drives a subway train in Sweden. Twenty-year-old Yasmin, eager to make her mark and dreaming of becoming Sweden's Minister of Justice, enrolls at the police academy and befriends a Swedish girl. It stands out as a warm story about alienation, friendship, pride and prejudice.
