Blue Night (Mavi Gece) (translated)

Blue Night is a 2015 Turkish comedy film written and directed by Ahmet Hoşsöyler. Adapted from a story of the same name by Nazan Şara Şatana, it was released on October 30, 2015. Fırat Tanış and Ayça Varlıer lead a cast that also includes Gökhan Mumcu, Eda Bilgin, Suat Ergin, Çetin Öncü, Mehmet Ulay, Mazlum Kiper, and Muhlis Asan. Produced by 35 mm Stüdyoları, the film runs 120 minutes.

The plot brings together two opposites: Emel, a wealthy and arrogant doctor, and Zeki, a macho, foul-mouthed taxi driver. When Zeki is rushed to the hospital after an accident on a strangely blue, stormy night, Emel's attempt to shock his heart back to life causes their souls to swap bodies. A male soul trapped in a woman's body and a female soul in a man's, the pair must experience each other's lives from within, and the strange, comic situations born of this clash drive the film's humor.
