Les enquiquineurs
Les enquiquineurs is a 1965 French comedy directed by Roland Quignon. With a running time of about ninety minutes, the picture is led by Michel Galabru and Michel Serrault, two of the most recognizable character actors in French cinema of the period. They are joined by a wide ensemble that includes performers such as Francis Blanche, Marthe Mercadier, Max Montavon, Sabine Sun and Philippe Castelli. The film fits within the tradition of light popular entertainments that French studios turned out during the 1960s, when many comedians with stage backgrounds appeared regularly on screen. Sources consulted give no detailed account of the storyline, but they confirm the film's comedy classification and its theatrical release in France in 1965.
