The Voice Inside Me (Içimdeki Ses) (translated)

Içimdeki Ses is a Turkish comedy film directed by Çağrı Bayrak, with a screenplay written by its leading actor Engin Günaydın. Shot in 2014, the film was released in cinemas on 30 January 2015.

The story follows Selim, a writer who has locked himself in his own small world and, due to his lack of self-confidence, can barely build proper relationships with anyone. Seeking a remedy for his loneliness, he decides to live with his mother Mehpare, who has just returned from umrah. One day at the gym, his clumsiness leads him to meet Ayşıl, a wealthy and strikingly beautiful woman who unexpectedly falls in love with him. Convinced that happiness lies through Selim's mother and her circle of friends, Ayşıl sets off a chain of comic events. The cast includes Leyla Lydia Tuğutlu, Füsun Demirel, Ersin Korkut, Onur Buldu and Hamdi Kahraman.
