Help Me Dream

Help Me Dream (Aiutami a sognare) is a 1981 Italian romantic drama film written and directed by Pupi Avati. Produced by RAI, it stars Mariangela Melato, Anthony Franciosa and Orazio Orlando, with Jean-Pierre Léaud and Alexandra Stewart also appearing. Set in 1943 during the Second World War, the story follows a woman who flees Bologna to escape the bombing raids and moves into her country villa.

For her performance, Mariangela Melato received both the David di Donatello and the Nastro d'Argento for Best Actress, while Riz Ortolani's musical score earned the Nastro d'Argento for Best Score.
