Love Eclipse (Aşk Tutulması) (translated)
Love Eclipse (Aşk Tutulması) is a Turkish romantic comedy that hit theatres on October 24, 2008. Directed by Murat Şeker, who co-wrote the screenplay with Selami Genli and also produced the film, it runs about 99 minutes and blends football fandom with a romantic storyline.
At the centre of the story is Uğur, a pharmaceutical sales representative and a die-hard Fenerbahçe supporter. Calm and ordinary in everyday life, he transforms completely when it comes to football, driven by a fierce desire to win and by the superstitions he believes bring him luck. Worn down by his mother's pressure to marry, Uğur meets Pınar—who faces similar pressure from her own mother—by chance after a car accident, an encounter that changes both of their lives and leads them to fall in love. The film stars Tolgahan Sayışman and Fahriye Evcen, alongside Tim Seyfi, Feridun Düzağaç and Filiz Ahmet.
