Anahit

Anahit is a 1947 Soviet Armenian adventure film directed by Hamo Beknazaryan and produced at the Armenfilm studio. Its screenplay is based on "Anahit", the fairy tale written by Ghazaros Aghayan in 1881, and the score was composed by Ashot Satyan.

Shot in black and white with a running time of about 66 minutes, the film was made in Armenian and later dubbed into a number of other languages. The cast is led by the celebrated Armenian actor Hıraçya Nersesyan (Hrachia Nersisyan), joined by Avet Avetisyan, Metaksia Simonyan, Frunze Dovlatyan and Ori Buniatyan.
