Sümeyra Koç — Biography

Sümeyra Koç was born on February 27, 1987 in Istanbul. While studying in the Public Relations Department at Bilgi University, she went to the European University of Madrid through an exchange programme and graduated there. She prepared for acting through training at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Center, the Craft Acting Workshop and the Şahika Tekand Studio, as well as lessons from names such as İpek Bilgin, Gamze Süner Atay, Bahar Kerimoğlu, Ayşegül Aydın and Kayhan Yıldızoğlu. Her first on-screen role was in the 2013 series Galip Derviş, and that same year she appeared in Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim. After the series Kurt Seyit ve Şura, Günebakan and Kara Kutu, she portrayed Zeynep in the 2016 film Saruhan. In 2017 she appeared before viewers as Farah in the series Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları, broadcast on Star TV. In 2023 she played Gaye in the series Kraliçe. The actress, who works in theatre, film and television, is married to Can Koç.
