Demet Özdemir — Biography

Demet Özdemir, born on February 26, 1992, in İzmit, Kocaeli, is a Turkish actress known for her acting, dancing, and modeling background. Following her parents' separation, she moved to Istanbul with her family, where her dance training introduced her to the world of performing arts. She first appeared in commercials and a music video for Mustafa Sandal, and after graduating from high school, she took acting lessons.

Her television career began in 2013 with the role of Aylin in "Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim" (I Will Tell You a Secret). Following this, she appeared in productions such as "Kurt Seyit ve Şura" (2014), "Çilek Kokusu" (Strawberry Scent) (2015), and "No: 309" (2016); and gained film experience with "Tut Sözünü" (Keep Your Promise) (2015) and "Sen Kiminle Dans Ediyorsun?" (Who Are You Dancing With?) (2017). Her real breakthrough came with the role of Sanem in the romantic comedy "Erkenci Kuş" (Early Bird), which aired in 2018-2019 and contributed to the international rise of Turkish television series by being sold to many countries.

In subsequent years, she played Zeynep in Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, Aslı in the Netflix films Aşk Taktikleri (2022) and Aşk Taktikleri 2 (2023), and İlkin in the Disney+ series Dünyayla Benim Aramda (2022). In 2023, she took on the role of Farah in the series Adım Farah; and in Eşref Rüya, which started in 2025, she appeared as Nisan Akyol.

Özdemir, known for her acting as well as her dance background, is married to singer Oğuzhan Koç in her private life.
