Seçkin Özdemir — Biography

Seçkin Özdemir (born 25 August 1981, Istanbul) is a Turkish actor and former radio and television presenter and DJ. His family roots are in Sinop, and he graduated from the economics department of Kocaeli University. He began his career in 2000 as a radio host at Red Fm in Kocaeli, where his show Brainstorm ran from 2002 to 2004, and he performed as a DJ in Antalya, Istanbul and Bodrum. In 2004 he moved to Number One TV as a television presenter.

After theatre training at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center and acting training at the Başkent Communication Sciences Academy, he appeared in commercials before landing his first series role as Burak in Yaban Gülü (2008). He gained wide recognition as Leo in Muhteşem Yüzyıl (2011), followed by leading roles in Al Yazmalım, Bir Aşk Hikayesi, Günahkar, Acı Aşk and Kiralık Aşk. His starring role in Ateş Böceği (2017) earned him Golden Butterfly nominations, and that year he headlined the film Bir Nefes Yeter with Tuvana Türkay. He later appeared in productions such as Kuruluş: Osman, Baş Belası and Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı.
