Ozan Çobanoğlu — Biography

Born Umut Ozan Çobanoğlu on February 6, 1980, in Kars, he is the son of the folk poet Aşık Murat Çobanoğlu. He graduated from the Theatre Department of the Hacettepe University State Conservatory in 2004, and after working at the İzmir and Ankara State Theatres became a permanent member of the Konya State Theatre from 2005.

He began his screen career with series such as Sırlar Dünyası (2002) and Şubat Soğuğu (2005), playing Inspector Güven in Yağmurdan Sonra, Dr. Tarık in Tek Türkiye (2007-2011), Mustafa in Kollama, and Ömer in Anneler ile Kızları; he wrote, directed and starred in Eksik Sayfalar (2012). He went on to play Taci in the film Fetih 1453, Serdar in Dila Hanım, Tolga in Galip Derviş, Bülent in Küçük Ağa, and Ahmet in Bir Deniz Hikayesi.

Since 2016 he has played Inspector Hakan Çınar in Arka Sokaklar, joining from its 389th episode. He has a son, Doruk, from his first marriage, and in September 2016 he married Ezgi Sertel, whom he met on the set of Tek Türkiye; the couple's twin sons Tibet and Mert were born in January 2020.
