Sarp Levendoğlu — Biography

Born on 25 December 1981 in Ankara, Ali Sarp Levendoğlu got his start on camera at just six years old; his uncle, filmmaker Mustafa Altıoklar, gave an early boost to that ambition. He finished his schooling at the French high school Saint-Benoît, went on to Bilgi University for a degree in visual communication design, and later completed an acting degree at Istanbul Kültür University.

Known for military-themed hits such as Savaşçı, Gece Gündüz and Emret Komutanım, and for playing the gangster Akif in the period drama Mor Menekşeler, Levendoğlu found a turning point in 2014's Küçük Ağa, where his role as Ali also brought him together with co-star Birce Akalay; the two married that same year, had a daughter, Ece, and separated in 2017. Around the same period he played Savaş Türkyılmaz in Deliormanlı (2016), and it was his part in Ölene Kadar, playing Ender Yoranel opposite the leads Fahriye Evcen and Engin Akyürek, that brought him to a much wider audience.

He took on the Byzantine emperor Romanos Diogenes in Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu in 2021, played Ahmet in Gecenin Ucunda (2022–2023), and then İbrahim Karahoca, known as Pehlivan, in Teşkilat (2023–2024); beyond acting, he has directing credits on Emret Komutanım as well as Gece Gündüz. After a spell living in Datça, he returned to screens in late 2025 as Barış in Arka Sokaklar, took a role in the 2026 film Hammal: Güvercin Terbiyecisi, and confirmed to the press that he was dating his Arka Sokaklar co-star, Felicia Sağnak.
