Onur Ünsal — Biography

Onur Ünsal is a Turkish stage, film and television actor born in İzmir on August 16, 1985. After graduating from Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2006, he began performing at the Oyun Atölyesi (Theatre Workshop) founded by Haluk Bilginer and Zuhal Olcay, appearing in productions such as Testosteron, Azrail'in Gözyaşları, Hırçın Kız and Çok Uzak. In 2013 he became one of the founders of Moda Sahnesi and contributed to the translation of a Hamlet production in which he performed.

He made his screen debut in a film directed by Atıf Yılmaz and went on to appear in Şaşkın, Devrim Arabaları and Pandora'nın Kutusu. Ünsal built his television profile through several series broadcast in the late 2000s, joined Tolga Örnek's Kaybedenler Kulübü in 2010, and played a wounded soldier in Reha Erdem's Jîn in 2013. He is also a member of the band Büyük Ev Ablukada, formed in 2008, and reached a wide audience with the character Cem in the 2022 sci-fi series Yakamoz S-245.

More recently, Ünsal has appeared in the film Umami and in the Masumiyet Müzesi (Museum of Innocence) adaptation, and in 2026 he has been playing the character Kamer in the television series Delikanlı. He has also drawn attention for interviews addressing gender roles and masculinity in the Turkish entertainment industry.
