Melih Ekener — Biography

Melih Ekener (born 13 July 1965 in Istanbul) is a Turkish stage, film and television actor. Of Armenian descent, he began his career in the theatre and is best known on screen for comic roles.

He reached a wide audience as Bebe Ruhi in the 2000s revivals of the Hababam Sınıfı film series and as Zeki in the Maskeli Beşler (Masked Gang) comedies. Süper Ajan K9 (2008) and Yalancı Romantik (2008) are among his other credits.

Alongside acting he served as general manager of SAT-7, presented as Turkey's first Christian television channel, and gave interviews on religious diversity in the country while in that post.
