Hülya Şen — Biography

Born on 29 February 1968 in the Edremit district of Balıkesir, Hülya Şen spent her childhood in İzmir and graduated from the Theatre Department at Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts. She first encountered theatre in a school play during middle school, then during her second year of university took a role in a film directed by Tekin Akmansoy under special permission, before beginning her television career in 1992.

Over the years she has appeared in numerous series including Reyting Hamdi, Küçük Kadınlar, O Hayat Benim, Avlu, Kırmızı Oda and Çöp Adam, earning several awards along the way, and in early 2026 she joined the cast of Gönül Dağı, in which she plays the character Nurten. She was previously married to and divorced from theatre actor Cengiz Küçükayvaz, with whom she has a daughter, Ofelya.
