Hazer Amani — Biography

Hazer Amani was born on 16 November 1977 in Ankara. His mother is Turkish and his father Iranian. He graduated from the Sociology Department of the Middle East Technical University.

In 2001 he travelled to Africa, where he trained in culinary arts at Cordon Bleu, and he spent four years studying wine and viticulture at the Cape Wine Academy. He worked as Executive Chef at the Chilai restaurant in İstanbul's Bebek district and received the Most Creative Chef award.

A member of the instructor chef staff of the American Hospitality Academy International Hotel Management Schools, Amani also served as a jury member on the MasterChef competition broadcast on TV8, alongside Mehmet Yalçınkaya and Somer Sivrioğlu.
