Farangis Farahzadi — Biography
Born Farangis Farahzadi in Shiraz, Iran, in 1940, she became known professionally as Farangis Forouhar and is now a retired Iranian actress. She is the mother of singer Leila Forouhar and the sister of fellow Iranian singer Zhaleh Farahzadi. She was married twice, to Jahangir Forouhar and to Davoud Esmaeili. Her film career unfolded in Iran's pre-revolutionary cinema industry between 1967 and 1973, with roles in titles such as Kooh Zad (1967), Sarnevesht (1967), Charkh-E-Bazigar (1968), Twentieth Century Looti (1968), Dancer of City (1970), Scandal of Love (1971), The Brother (1971), Heydar (1971), Ghalandar (1972), Ali Soorchi (1972) and Papoosh (1973).
