Ali İl — Biography

Ali İl, born on November 16, 1981 in Istanbul, is a Turkish television and film actor. He aspired to be an actor from his high school years; he was accepted into the Theatre Department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory and, following his education, performed in numerous theatrical productions.

He made his television debut in 2002 with the series "Sırlar Dünyası" (World of Secrets). He attracted attention with his portrayal of the character Kerem in the series "Ihlamurlar Altında" (Under the Linden Trees); his role as Ali in the series "Küçük Kadınlar" (Little Women), which started in 2005, increased his recognition. In subsequent years, he appeared in productions such as "Adını Sen Koy" (Name It Yourself), "Seni Bana Yazmışlar" (They Wrote You for Me), "Aşk Eski Bir Yalan" (Love is an Old Lie), "Seher Vakti" (Dawn), "Benimle Oynar mısın?" (Will You Play With Me?) (2013), and "Mahmut ile Meryem" (Mahmut and Meryem) (2013).

His best-known character was Sadrettin Umman in the TV series Poyraz Karayel, which began in 2015; he continued this role in the film Poyraz Karayel: Global Capital, released in 2017. In 2018, he acted in the film Bebek Geliyorum Demez; and in the TV series Ver Elini Aşk, broadcast on Kanal D, he shared the lead role with Sevda Erginci and Köksal Engür, playing the character Kaan.

He stands out as a versatile actor, able to embody different characters in both drama and comedy genres.
