Yusuf Kurçenli — Biography
Yusuf Kurçenli was born on 20 January 1947 in Çayeli, Rize, and studied at Istanbul University's Faculty of Communications. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he became one of the notable directors and screenwriters in Turkish cinema.
He directed and wrote films such as "Gönderilmemiş Mektuplar," "Raziye," "Gramofon Avrat" and "Yüreğine Sor," working with actors including Tarık Akan and Taner Barlas. Kurçenli died in Istanbul on 22 February 2012.
