Yurdaer Okur — Biography

Yurdaer Okur (born 29 October 1974, Rize) is a Turkish stage, film and television actor and theatre director. After finishing Bafra Süper High School he studied Tourism Management at Akdeniz University for three years, then moved to the Theatre Department of the Hacettepe University State Conservatory in 1994, later completing a master's degree at the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory.

In 1999 he joined Genco Erkal's Dostlar Theatre company, appearing in the play Yalınayak Sokrates. He became a member of the Istanbul State Theatre and was appointed to the Diyarbakır State Theatre in 2002. He made his screen debut in the series Ferhunde Hanımlar and his cinema debut with Sır Çocukları (2002).

His television credits include Karadayı (2012), Hakan: Muhafız (2018), Kuruluş Osman (2019), Kefaret (2020) and Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu (2021); among his films are Direniş: Karatay (2018), Yedinci Koğuştaki Mucize (2019) and Bilmemek (2019).
