Uğurtan Sayıner — Biography
Uğurtan Sayıner (September 16, 1944, Samsun – June 27, 2021, İzmir) was a Turkish theatre, film and television actor. After studying at the Faculty of Economics, he turned to the performing arts and pursued a career spanning nearly thirty years.
He first drew attention on television with the series Perihan Abla (1986), but earned his real fame as Cemil in Bizimkiler, which ran from 1989 to 2002, a role that etched him into viewers' memories. On the big screen he appeared as the receptionist in Hiçbiryerde (2001) and later acted in the films Küçük Esnaf (2016) and Aşk Bu Mu? (2018); one of his final works was Cango (2021). His death in İzmir in June 2021 caused deep sorrow in the arts community and among his fans.
