Tuğrul Tülek — Biography

Born September 23, 1976 in Bursa, Tuğrul Tülek studied English teaching at Uludağ University before turning to acting, later earning a second degree in theatre from Anadolu University and training as an exchange student in Warsaw. In 2015 his performance in "İki Kişilik Yaz" (Two-Person Summer) won him Best Actor at the Afife Theatre Awards, and the Theatre Critics Association named him Actor of the Year the same season.

On screen he played Kamuran Akyürek in the film Love in Another Language (2009) and Sati in Drawers (2015), while his role as Civan Koral in the series Kızıl Goncalar and Ruhun Duymaz brought him wider recognition; he also appeared in the historical series Rise of Empires: Ottoman (2020).

In 2026 Tülek returned his focus to the stage, starring alongside Rıza Kocaoğlu in the play "Sürüklenmiş," giving interviews about how theatre has helped him confront his own emotions.
