One-Way to Tomorrow (Yarina Tek Bilet)

One-Way to Tomorrow is a 2020 Turkish romantic comedy-drama film directed by Ozan Açıktan and written by Faruk Özerten. A remake of the 2014 Swedish film How to Stop a Wedding, it was released on Netflix on June 19, 2020.

The story follows two strangers who cross paths on a train from Ankara to Izmir. Leyla, travelling without a ticket, is forced to share a compartment with Ali, a talkative lawyer on his way to stop his ex-girlfriend's wedding. What begins as friction gradually turns into conversation over the fourteen-hour journey, and as the pair realize their paths have unexpectedly intertwined, both their plans and their view of each other begin to shift. Dilan Çiçek Deniz and Metin Akdülger lead the cast, which also includes Tevfik Kartal.
