War of the Robots

War of the Robots (Italian: La guerra dei robot) is a 1978 Italian science fiction film directed and written by Alfonso Brescia, who also used the pseudonym Al Bradley. It was the third of four low-budget space operas Brescia made within two years, riding the wave created by the success of Star Wars, and it was released internationally under the title Reactor. The story follows an alien civilization on the verge of extinction that abducts two renowned genetic scientists from Earth in hopes of saving its dying race. A troop of soldiers is dispatched across space to confront the humanoid robots holding the captives and to bring the scientists back. The cast includes Antonio Sabàto, Yanti Somer, Malisa Longo, Patrizia Gori, Giacomo Rossi-Stuart, Licinia Lentini, and Venantino Venantini.
