The Trick in the Sheet

L'imbroglio nel lenzuolo (The Trick in the Sheet), an Italian-Spanish period romantic comedy directed by Alfonso Arau, follows what happens when the art of motion pictures reaches a small Italian town for the first time and turns everyday life upside down. The film is based on Francesco Costa's 1997 novel of the same name, and the screenplay was written jointly by Costa and Maria Grazia Cucinotta. Cucinotta headlines the cast together with Geraldine Chaplin, Anne Parillaud and Primo Reggiani, while Ernesto Mahieux also appears. Shot in Italian, the picture opened in Italian cinemas on 18 June 2010.
