The Adventures of Hercules

The Adventures of Hercules (Italian: Le avventure dell'incredibile Ercole), also released as Hercules II, is a 1985 Italian-American fantasy adventure that continues the story begun in Luigi Cozzi's 1983 film Hercules. Cozzi again handled both the script and direction, while bodybuilder-turned-actor Lou Ferrigno returned to play the mythic strongman. Much of the first picture's crew and ensemble reunited for the follow-up, with Ferrigno joined by performers including Milly Carlucci, Sonia Viviani, William Berger and Serena Grandi. Shot in English and running a little under ninety minutes, the film was marketed internationally under several titles, among them Die Abenteuer des Herkules 2. Teil in Germany. Like its predecessor, it was received poorly by critics, and today it is remembered as one of the low-budget sword-and-sorcery productions that came out of Italy during the 1980s.
