Hesitation Wound (Tereddüt Çizgisi)

Hesitation Wound (Turkish: Tereddüt Çizgisi) is a 2023 legal drama written and directed by Selman Nacar. Produced as a co-production between Turkey, Spain, Romania and France, the film had its world premiere in the Orizzonti section of the 80th Venice International Film Festival.

At the heart of the story is Canan, a lawyer confronted with a difficult moral dilemma that could alter the outcome of a trial. Tülin Özen stars as Canan, with Vedat Erincin also in the cast. The narrative builds tension around questions of justice, conscience and personal responsibility.

The film earned ten nominations across nine categories at the 57th Turkish Film Critics Association (SİYAD) Awards.
