Taken 2 (Takip: İstanbul)

Takip: İstanbul is the Turkish theatrical title of Taken 2, a 2012 French action-thriller directed by Olivier Megaton. The screenplay was co-written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, with Besson also serving as producer. A sequel to the 2008 film Taken and the second chapter of the trilogy, it stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen and Rade Šerbedžija.

In the story, the father of a gang member killed by retired CIA officer Bryan Mills while rescuing his daughter kidnaps Mills's ex-wife in Istanbul for revenge; this time Mills hunts down those threatening his family with the help of his daughter Kim. Shot largely in Istanbul, in locations such as Balat, Kadıköy and Haydarpaşa, the film opened in October 2012 and grossed over $376 million worldwide, becoming the highest-earning installment of the series despite largely negative reviews from critics.
