Super Fig (Süper İncir) (translated)

Süper İncir ("Super Fig") is a Turkish comedy released on July 26, 2013, written and directed by Kerem Sarı. Produced by Makas Film and distributed by Özen Film, it was shot by cinematographers Cüneyt Denizer and Cihan Ertal with a score by Vehbi Can Uyaroğlu.

The story follows Seikilos, an ancient figure who had his own body mummified after the death of his beloved Euterpe, and who wakes up in a modern Aegean village two thousand years later when a shepherd accidentally disturbs his tomb. Searching for Euterpe, he becomes entangled with Mustafa, a village youth who dreams of becoming a superhero, and Hatice, a local girl. The cast is led by Zafer Kaya as Seikilos and Volkan Baş as Mustafa, alongside Ece Yentür and Umut Oğuz.
