Strange Affair

Strange Affair, released in French as Une étrange affaire, is a 1981 French drama directed by Pierre Granier-Deferre. The story was adapted from Jean-Marc Roberts's novel Affaires étrangères, with Granier-Deferre, Christopher Frank and Roberts sharing screenplay credit. The picture is dedicated to the memory of writer Pascal Jardin, who had died the year before its release.

Led by Michel Piccoli, Gérard Lanvin and Nathalie Baye, the film screened in the main competition at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1982 and went on to receive the Louis Delluc Prize that same year. Dominique Zardi and Jacques Boudet also appear in the cast.
