The Voice

The Voice (La voix) is a 1992 French drama film directed by Pierre Granier-Deferre and adapted from a short story by French writer Pierre Drieu la Rochelle. Starring Sami Frey and Nathalie Baye, the film follows a man who becomes transfixed upon hearing the voice of a woman he was once in love with, a sound that draws him back into memories of that past love. The supporting cast includes Dominique Zardi, Laura Morante, Georges Claisse and Jean-Claude Dreyfus. Running about 86 minutes, the film was screened in the Panorama section of the 42nd Berlin International Film Festival.
