The Last Train (Son Tren)

Son Tren (released in German as Der letzte Zug, "The Last Train") is a 2006 German-Czech war drama co-directed by Joseph Vilsmaier and Dana Vávrová, written and produced by Artur Brauner. Alongside Gedeon Burkhard and Lena Beyerling, the cast includes Turkish actresses Lâle Yavaş and Sibel Kekilli.

Set in April 1943, the film follows the roundup of some of Berlin's last remaining Jewish residents at the Grunewald station and their deportation to Auschwitz, and is noted for portraying the brutality of that transport with an unusually stark realism compared to other films on the subject.
