Saturday, Sunday and Friday

Saturday, Sunday and Friday (original title: Sabato, domenica e venerdì) is a 1979 Italian anthology comedy built from three separate sketches, each named after a day of the week. The "Saturday" episode was directed by Sergio Martino, the "Sunday" episode by Pasquale Festa Campanile, and the "Friday" episode by the duo Castellano & Pipolo. The screenplay was written by Castellano & Pipolo together with Giuseppe Moccia and Festa Campanile. Bringing together many familiar faces of Italian popular cinema of the period, the ensemble cast includes Adriano Celentano, Edwige Fenech, Barbara Bouchet, Lino Banfi, Michele Placido, Milena Vukotic and Sal Borgese. Running close to two hours, the film is a typical example of the Italian sexy comedy trend of the late 1970s, packaging three different comic sensibilities into a single feature.
