Şaban Çingeneler Arasında
Şaban Çingeneler Arasında is a black-and-white Turkish film directed by Semih Evin and released in 1952. A light romantic comedy from the early years of Turkish sound cinema, it follows a young man named Şaban and his affection for a beautiful Roma girl. In those days, long before television, films like this filled the picture houses of the time, and the production also preserves images of İstanbul as it looked in the 1950s. Turgut Özatay, who would become one of the best-known actors of Yeşilçam in later years, appears among its large cast.
