Mean Frank and Crazy Tony

Mean Frank and Crazy Tony is a 1973 Italian crime comedy directed by Michele Lupo, starring Lee Van Cleef, Tony Lo Bianco and Edwige Fenech. Blending elements of the buddy film, the prison film and the gangster genre, it follows the partnership of its two colorful leads.

Originally released in Italy under the titles Dio, sei proprio un padreterno! and Il suo nome faceva tremare... Interpol in allarme, the film was written by Luciano Vincenzoni, Sergio Donati and Nicola Badalucco. It was also distributed abroad under various localized titles, including an Iranian release name roughly meaning "tough gangsters."
