Les combinards
Les combinards (released in Italian as La fabbrica dei soldi) is a 1965 French-Spanish-Italian co-production built as an anthology of comedy sketches. The film was jointly directed by Juan Estelrich March, Riccardo Pazzaglia and Jean-Claude Roy, from a screenplay by Jacques Bernard.
Running about 90 minutes, the picture features Darry Cowl and Michel Serrault alongside a large ensemble of period performers including Agnès Spaak, Florence Blot, Gérard Hernandez, Maria Pacôme and Mary Marquet. Drawing on the sketch-comedy tradition popular in European cinema of the 1960s, the three-nation production strings together a series of self-contained humorous episodes rather than a single continuous story.
