Le Pion

Le Pion (The Pawn) is a 1978 French comedy written and directed by Christian Gion. Henri Guybet and Claude Jade take the leading roles, with supporting performances from Claude Piéplu, Maureen Kerwin, Michel Galabru and Roland Giraud. Running about 93 minutes, the picture stands as an example of popular French comedy filmmaking of its period. Beyond its home market, the film reached German cinemas on 21 March 1980, where it was released under the title Ein Pauker zum Verlieben.
