L'antidote is a 2005 French comedy directed by Vincent de Brus. Christian Clavier and Jacques Villeret headline the cast, supported by performers such as Judith Magre, Agnès Soral, Alexandra Lamy and Daniel Russo. The screenplay was written by Éric Besnard together with Jacques Besnard. The picture opened in French cinemas on 30 March 2005 through Warner Bros. Pictures and sold roughly 767,000 tickets domestically. It holds a bittersweet place in French film history as one of the final screen appearances of Jacques Villeret, who died before its release, and it was also the last film to feature veteran actor Jacques Dynam.
