Granny's Funeral

Granny's Funeral (original French title: Adieu Berthe – L'Enterrement de Mémé) is a 2012 French comedy film directed by Bruno Podalydès from a screenplay he wrote with his brother Denis Podalydès. The story follows a man who, after the death of his grandmother Berthe, is left to handle the funeral arrangements, a situation treated with gentle humour. Valérie Lemercier and Judith Magre lead the cast, which also includes Denis Podalydès, Michel Vuillermoz, Pierre Arditi, Noémie Lvovsky, Samir Guesmi, Catherine Hiegel and Isabelle Candelier. Produced by Why Not Productions and running about 100 minutes, the film was shown in the Directors' Fortnight section of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
