Euskolegas

Euskolegas is a Spanish sitcom that aired from 11 May to 14 December 2009 on ETB 2, the second channel of the Basque broadcaster EITB. Produced by Pausoka Entertainment, it ran for two seasons and a total of 24 episodes. The series is a continuation of the comedy sketches of the same name featured in the programme Vaya Semanita.

Set in Bilbao, the series follows a group of friends from different parts of Spain who share a flat: Álex Ufarte (Javier Antón), Patxi Goikoetxea (Andoni Agirregomezkorta), Pruden Fournier (Iker Galartza) and Leire Roncal (Laura de la Calle). The story begins with the wedding of Álex and Leire being called off at the last moment; the flatmates then move into the building where Patxi's uncle Santi, aunt Begoña and cousin Estíbaliz live. Álex marrying Sara, a waitress he meets on his honeymoon cruise, the revelation of this, break-ups, divorces and new relationships make up the main conflicts of the series. One of the subplots deals with the divorce of Santi and Begoña and Begoña's relationship with Juan Mari, a banker who is the boss of Estíbaliz and Álex.

The character of Estíbaliz was played by Verónika Moral. Filming of the first season began in the summer of 2008 and that of the second in July 2009. The series started with high ratings but was ended because of declining ratings in the second season.
