Employee of the Month

Irréductible (released internationally as Employee of the Month) is a 2022 French comedy directed by Jérôme Commandeur, remaking the 2016 Italian hit Quo vado?. The Peltier family has served in the civil service for generations, and Vincent Peltier is a contented water and forestry official in Limoges. When the government launches a sweeping cost-cutting program, ministry inspector Isabelle Bailliencourt is assigned to push him into resigning. Vincent, however, refuses to surrender the perks of his status, above all his guaranteed lifetime employment. Determined to break him, the tenacious inspector arranges one transfer after another, with his postings eventually reaching as far as Greenland. The film was screened at the 2022 Alpe d'Huez International Comedy Film Festival, where it took home the grand prize.
