Wishing Stone (Dilek Taşı) (translated)

Dilek Taşı (Wishing Stone) is a Turkish historical drama series produced by Pastel Film that premiered on Kanal D on September 7, 2023. Directed by Altan Dönmez, Volkan Kocatürk and Osman Taşcı from a screenplay by Can Sinan, the series stars Salih Bademci, Hazal Subaşı and Ozan Dolunay.

The story follows Mustafa, a man in his early thirties struggling to survive in an Istanbul slum with his wife Canan and daughter Cemre. When Canan urgently needs surgery and the factory where Mustafa works has been shut down by a long lockout, he sets out to find the factory owner, Mr. Yakup, and claim his unpaid wages; what happens that day changes his and his daughter's lives forever. The series ran for a single season and concluded with its 20th episode on January 24, 2024.
