Çıldıran Baba

Çıldıran Baba is a 1950 Turkish drama film written, directed and produced by Vedat Örfi Bengü on behalf of Ülkü Film. The cinematography was handled by Cezmi Ar.

The film begins when the wife of an elderly doctor is raped while he is away from home. Fearing her jealous husband, the woman conceals what has happened, and a daughter is born after the incident. Years later, the inheritance left behind by the assailant following his death brings the truth to light; the doctor kills his wife and then takes his own life.

The cast includes Ülkü Bengü, Vedat Örfi Bengü, Nebahat Erdura, Ayşe Güzel, Kemal Tanrıöver, Kudret Şandra, Ali Küçük, Emel Aynur and Sıdıka Cankat.
