Chiedi la luna, known in English as Ask for the Moon, is a 1991 Italian comedy drama directed by Giuseppe Piccioni. Piccioni also co-wrote the screenplay together with Franco Bernini and Enzo Monteleone. The film is led by Margherita Buy and Giulio Scarpati, with a supporting ensemble that includes Roberto Citran, Daniela Giordano, Massimo Lodolo, Mauro Marino, Sergio Rubini and Stefano Abbati. Shot in Italian and running roughly eighty minutes, the picture was presented at the 48th Venice International Film Festival, where it had its premiere. It stands among Piccioni's earlier works as a director, blending comic and dramatic tones within an intimate, character-focused story typical of his filmmaking.
