The Bulbul Family (Bülbül Ailesi) (translated)
Bülbül Ailesi is a 1976 Turkish comedy directed by Oksal Pekmezoğlu. The story follows the cheerful chaos of a crowded household, told in a humorous tone. Hazım Bey, who has just retired after a long career as a civil servant, now spends his days at home with his wife Asiye Hanım, their daughter Nevin, their son-in-law Ramazan and their son Tosun. Ramazan struggles to keep up with his father-in-law's constant requests while also dealing with his outspoken mother-in-law and with Tosun, a young man who cannot settle into any job, falls in love with every woman he sees and threatens to end it all whenever he is rejected. The resulting misunderstandings and quarrels turn the family home into a non-stop whirlwind. Halit Akçatepe and Nevra Serezli take the leading roles.
