Bülbül Ailesi

Bülbül Ailesi is a Turkish comedy from 1976, directed by Oksal Pekmezoğlu. With a light, humorous touch, the film portrays the everyday commotion of the Bülbül household. Hazım Bey, newly retired after thirty years in the civil service, lives with his wife Asiye Hanım, their daughter Nevin, their son-in-law Ramazan and their son Tosun. Ramazan spends his days trying to satisfy the many demands of a father-in-law who is now always at home, while also coping with his sharp-tongued mother-in-law and his brother-in-law Tosun, who can never hold down a job, falls for every woman he meets and attempts suicide whenever he is turned down, causing endless trouble for the family. Halit Akçatepe and Nevra Serezli share the leading roles.
