Nevra Serezli — Biography

Nevra Serezli (born 9 August 1944 in Ankara) is a Turkish stage, film and television actress and voice artist. While a student at the American College for Girls, she was noticed for her role in the musical My Fair Lady; after graduating from Robert College she studied theatre with Müşfik Kenter, Melih Cevdet, Haldun Taner and Haldun Dormen.

She began her professional stage career at the Dormen Theatre in 1965, appeared at the Ankara Art Theatre in 1967, and between 1971 and 1978 performed in numerous plays with Altan Erbulak and Metin Serezli. From 1984 to 1989 she was a member of the Devekuşu Kabare theatre; she returned to the Dormen Theatre in 1990 and later joined Tiyatro İstanbul, also taking part in theatre festivals in Italy and England.

She made her film debut in Kara Tren (1966) and went on to appear in comedies such as Ne Olacak Şimdi (1979), Zübük (1980), Kılıbık (1983) and Atla Gel Şaban (1984), as well as Senin Hikâyen (2013) and Kocan Kadar Konuş (2015). On television she played Dudu for five seasons of Sihirli Annem (2003–2011). She was married to actor Metin Serezli from 1968 until his death in 2013; their son Murat Serezli is also an actor.
