Aatank Hi Aatank

Aatank Hi Aatank is a 1995 Hindi-language action crime film written, edited and directed by Dilip Shankar, bringing together Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla and Archana Joglekar. The story traces farmer Shiv Charan Sharma, who moves from his village to the city with his family and gradually rises into a powerful crime boss, building an underworld empire alongside Munna, an orphan he has raised. When rival syndicates set out to eliminate Sharma, his estranged son Rohan is pulled back into the conflict.

Heavily inspired by The Godfather, the film opened on 4 August 1995 but failed at the box office. Aamir Khan later admitted regretting his involvement and expressed dislike for his own performance. In 2000, the film returned in a Tamil-dubbed version that included an additional story track.
