Sıtkı Akçatepe — Biography

Sıtkı Akçatepe (1902, Istanbul – 21 October 1986, Istanbul) was a Turkish film actor. On his mother's side he was descended from Nevşehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha, grand vizier of the Tulip Era, and Fatma Sultan, daughter of Ahmed III.

He began his cinema career with a minor role in Bir Millet Uyanıyor, the first Turkish sound film, alongside Atıf Kaptan. He became widely known as the colourful teacher Paşa Nuri in the Hababam Sınıfı film series and appeared in such classics as Tosun Paşa (1976), Şabanoğlu Şaban (1977), Bizim Aile (1975) and Canım Kardeşim (1973).

He was the father of actor Halit Akçatepe and the husband of actress Leman Akçatepe, sharing the screen with them in a number of films.
